Keeping the platform running and making sure every tip arrives safely — and it's separate from card processing. Both are added on top and paid by the fan, not you: on a $10 tip, the fan pays $10.78 total — $10.00 goes to you in full, $0.30 (3%) is our platform fee, and $0.48 is Stripe's card processing fee (their standard rate, not a flat percentage — it's shown exactly at checkout).
Fans can tip from anywhere in the world, no restrictions — a fan in Toronto, Lagos, or anywhere else can support a creator just as easily as one in Sydney. TipVolt is Australia-focused for now (that's where creator sign-up is currently open) and will expand globally later as demand grows.
