FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything about fees, payouts, safety, and how tipping creators, buskers and charities works on TipVolt.

Getting started

A tip page for creators, streamers, buskers and charities. Fans pay you directly with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card — no fan account needed, and you keep 100% of the tip.

Creators and streamers, buskers and performers, charities and mutual aid groups, and schools or community groups — the creative and community side of tipping, not point-of-sale hospitality tipping.

Nope. Fans pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or any credit card — the same checkout they use everywhere else. Zero friction, zero signup required from them.

Just your email address. Sign up, connect your bank account, and share your link. Tips appear in your dashboard and Stripe pays out on the schedule you choose.

Not at all. TipVolt sits alongside whatever you already use — Kick, Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, or nothing at all if you're a busker or charity. Put your TipVolt link wherever your audience finds you.

Payments & fees

Keeping the platform running and making sure every tip arrives safely — and it's separate from card processing. Both are added on top and paid by the fan, not you: on a $10 tip, the fan pays $10.78 total — $10.00 goes to you in full, $0.30 (3%) is TipVolt's fee, and $0.48 is Stripe's card processing fee (their standard rate, shown exactly at checkout).

Card processing carries a small fixed fee on top of its percentage, so on a very small tip that fixed fee would eat a disproportionate share of it. The $10 minimum keeps the fee structure fair for everyone.

Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any major credit or debit card, through Stripe's hosted checkout.

Fans can tip from anywhere in the world, no restrictions — a fan in Toronto, Lagos, or anywhere else can support a creator just as easily as one in Sydney. TipVolt is Australia-focused for creator sign-up for now, and will expand globally as demand grows.

Payouts & your money

Tips show up in your dashboard instantly. Stripe pays out on whatever schedule you've set — daily, weekly, or manual — no minimums, no long holds like other platforms.

Yes. Payout timing is entirely up to you — manual, daily, weekly, or another interval — configured directly in your Stripe dashboard.

Your tips are processed by Stripe, one of the world's largest payment platforms. TipVolt never holds your money — Stripe sends it straight to your bank.

No. TipVolt's fee and Stripe's processing fee are both added on top of the tip and paid by the fan — you always receive 100% of the amount they chose to tip you.

Trust & safety

Every tip is a real, cleared Stripe transaction before it's counted or shown on your dashboard — never a claimed or promised payment.

Tips are voluntary payments and are generally non-refundable once processed. We may refund one at our discretion in cases of clear error, like a duplicate charge — see our Terms of Service for the full policy.

See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown — in short, we don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.

Yes, any time, from your dashboard settings.
